I LOVE PLATINUM MALL!!! MBK is the place to go to get majorly ripped-off. i went to platinum mall for 3 days out of the 5 days i spent in bangkok.. ugh but losers like me who go to bangkok on weekdays miss the wonderful chatuchak. my mom being all positive forced me there on a thursday to walk around looking at plants.
my hotel kinda sucked AGAIN. the last time it was the creepy 'samran place'.. with the greenish lights and reception counter surrounded by thai gods (like really from the table to the floor).. and the one guy who was the security guard AND the butler. maybe even chef.. who knows. i've never seen a thai horror film but i'm thinking i was on set for one...
this time my mom and i stayed at swiss park. dont be fooled by the "i-sound-clean-and-nice" name. no swiss and no park. then they tried to pull another trick on me.. room on the 12th floor my foot. the buttons in the lift :1 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 how sneaky.. i wouldnt have noticed if not for how i could hear people singing '12 floors' below me. ugh and it was right smack in the geylang of bangkok pls. prostitutes everywhere. on the streets, the pavements, the hotels, inside tuktuks. thai, chinese, mexican, african.. female, male.. some i'm not too sure..
but this one nice tranny prostitute translated for me at the night-market outside my hotel. how nice of him.. but he was wayy too bulky to pass off as a woman. Sorry dude.. made me wonder who the hell would hire a tranny prostitute. people must be real desperate nowadays.. or maybe he just preys on the very very drunk.
oh well but the swiss park staff were nice.. i especially like the egg-girl at the dining hall. i patronise her little booth without fail for all my breakfast meals there. missed her eggs on the last day cos my mom and i were panicking about the stupid luggage that we packed and locked.. and couldnt open. in the end we went back to the shop.. and so no eggs
i got an unbelievable amount of scolding on this holiday. i snigger at the wrong moments so my mom thinks im being disrespectful.. haha but seriously her bargaining is a joke. and who asks for steak at a ramen house?!!
